An item people tend to forget when discussing the lack of action taking place in Washington DC is that for a bill to become law, it must first pass BOTH houses of Congress. Republican Members of the US Senate have used filibuster rules and other delaying tactics to make it appear that the Obama Administration has not been responsive to the needs of the country. This link directs you to a list of PENDING LEGISLATION awaiting action in the US Senate. Most have passed the House and are awaiting action. As of August 24, there were 61 pages of items awaiting action in the Senate. The list of pending legislation is called:

A registered Park County voter may cast his or her ballot at ANY Vote Center.

On Election Day, according to the Park County Clerk, mail-in ballots will be accepted at the Bailey
Motor Vehicle Office from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and at the Fairplay Clerk and
Recorder's Office from 7 am to 7:00 pm. Ballots must be received by the
Fairplay Clerk's Office no later than 7 pm Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in order
to be counted in this election.

Colorado Secretary of State's election web siteAf you are a first-time voter, inactive voter, or have had a change of address, affiliation, etc., you may
complete this form and either mail to the office of the Park County Clerk, PO Box 220, Fairplay, CO 80440 or take it by that office at 501 Main Street, or the Bailey Clerk's Office at 59865 Highway 285.
